Ob La Di, Ob La Dah

Life goes on here as we watch and wait for Pops final time with us here. We have two soccer games today and also some errands to run. Zane played on a team this morning and they got beat- but he played really well. I won't say the score- i'll just say the other team was really good, really really good. Noah plays at 3:30 and we hope for a better outcome.

Adele left today to go back to Big D and stated she will be back shortly. This leaves Mom alone for more time and I discussed it with her. She said that she expects some lonely times and is bracing herself for it. She also knows that when she moves to DeSoto, to be by Adele, that there will be some alone times and adjustments. I told her to just hit the dating scene hard to fill the voids. I am glad to talk about these things with her and just come to understand her expectations for the next phase of her life.

My family is here at the BeeHive home as we speak. We come by and hang with Mom and Pops and just spend time. I think it is as helpful to EE as it is to Pops. He has been really out of it today. He has moments where he chimes in with a comment or responds to a question when coaxed, but has been really quiet and keeping his eyes closed. KA and I gave him a mini sponge bath and a shave. His hands are starting to smell a bit because he keeps them clenched most of the time. KerryAnn called this "stroke hand".- where people get sweaty and macerated skin from not being able to open their hand. I would not say it was that bad, but they did have a little smell to them. His oxygen saturation is reading mid 80's when he breathes deeply and down to mid 70's when he does not. He has longer periods of apnea between breaths- sometimes as long as 20 seconds. It is a typical Cheyne-Stokes pattern but he could go on for days like this, but I hope not- because this isn't living. He was scowling earlier and we got out of him that he was in pain and thats the last thing we want. It's in the hands of the Big Guy. I will keep you all posted.
