Pops had a tough night last night. He had his oxygen saturations drop down into the 80's and also was having difficulty breathing. This is the first time his baseline numbers were out of whack in terms of heart rate / blood pressure, O2 sat level, etc... He was almost gone last night and the hospice nurse, Ethan, came by at midnight and said "he could go anytime."
Yo Yo man this morning: Came in and his eyes were open and he was alert for over an hour. He was more with it than he has been for the past three days. He does crash quickly and needs lots of sleep and recovery time, but he ate some Cream of Wheat and of course, more ice cream. As we speak, he is up at the dining room table with a fresh shave and hair done. KA is helping him eat lunch and I am betting he will be out for quite awhile when I put him back to bed. I went in to work today but can't do anything except wander around and ponder what he is doing. So I was told to go- because I was useless there anyway. I'm also taking off tomorrow with the thought being that he would pass on one of these days. Knowing him, he'll pull the rally monkey out and mess up scheduled plans- or at least I hope he does.
