Today is the day that Pops is switching to Methadone and ramping off the patches. He has been having some shaking and tremors- sometimes pretty severe. Went by and saw them over the weekend and his spirits were pretty good while we were there. I emphasized to him the need to get out of the house. As stated previously, since he went on hospice he has become a hermit. He's not letting his toe nails grow and saving his urine in jars or anything, but he never gets out- so he sits there and dwells on his condition. There is a psychological component to how he feels and to his well being and you should enjoy life, whether it's for two months or eight months or whatever.
Talked with him and EE about the agenda for the Celebration of Life party. Were mapping out some details because it will be coming up fast. I have heard from a few people about RSVP, but not too many. EE is calling some folks as well. People aren't used to something like this party and you have to know to make arrangements.
NOAHS BASKETBALL:
We lost 31-19 on Saturday. The team we played was good. They had won 59-17 and 41-6 to other teams so it was the battle of the unbeatens. They were in my kids heads before we even started. One kid on our team said we were gonna lose before it even started. If I had known I would of sat em down. We got down 18-2 and looked lost. Then they decided to play and we outscored them 17-13 the rest of the way. We practice today and I am gonna work em hard....mean coach.
