A Sunday Afternoon at the Beehive Home, Followed with a Morning Temp
Went by after work yesterday and spent about 4 hours with Pops and EE. KA and the kids came by from church and we had a good day. I got there and got Pops up,and then fed him lunch. Yummy. We then went and sat out in the sun until he got too hot. The party moved to the shade and we opened up their patio umbrella and camped out under it. It got up to 83 yesterday- (sorry Easterners, enjoy your snow.)
Pops had a good day although he was out of it. He did state he was "uneasy" about his whole ordeal. My Mom, KA and I all explained to him how it was alright to go. We told him we would miss him, and care for him while he was here.. but it was alright. He seemed at peace with this for awhile and then would bring it up again by saying "are you sure your Mom's okay with this?"- and we would then reassure him again. He did seem to enjoy sitting in the shade and listening as KA painted nails for EE, Tatum and herself. I'm glad he had a good day.
Today Pops could not take his pills or swallow anything. He also is running a temp of over 102 degrees. Hospice is getting liquid meds that can be put under the tongue because he is in pain from not having pain pills, This will be remedied within the hour but does not bode well for time here with us. It is all happening so fast. I, again, am glad we did the Celebration when we did it. I will update you with new facts as they happen.
