Photo Bucket and Slide

I swear this blog is making me an up to date computer guy. My typing still sucks but I now move around on the blog without trouble. I joined Photo Bucket tonight to do a slideshow of about 10 Celebration pics. It even linked me to facebook in the recent past, and now i'm "friendly". I must admit I am a bit addicted to facebook- you catch up and see what's going on with a lot of people. I'm more social now than I was in high school, or college.

Other things that went on with the relatives visiting for the celebration were, for one, we went to Zion National Park. The active crew did the Angels Landing hike- about 2 hours up and 1 hour down. They had a good time. Kudos to Uncle Gordon for being the only one to make it all the way to the top. Icy slants and 900 foot dropoffs didn't slow him down- so I was told. I say "they" because I got to hang with the "less active" (older)people and the little kids. I have a torn plantar fascia in my left foot and have a sweet walking boot. So much for cross training. I was doing a deal at the gym where I would jump up and grab the basketball rim and do a pull up. Run to the next one and do it again. I had a nice "POP" in my foot about 2 and a half months ago with pain. It will not heal without immobilization. I'm not a patient person, and i'm a terrible patient and noncompliant. But I do wanna get better so i can get active again. I blame the P 90 X infomercial and it's insistence on "cross training and challenging your body". My goal has been to be in the best shape of my life when I turn 40... now I just want to be able to get out of this boot.

We also went and played laser tag and took a tour of the rehab hospital(Coral Desert Rehabilitation- located in beautiful St George, Utah!!!!)that I work at and own a piece of. I think I convinced my Aunt to get going on getting that knee replacement. She has trouble getting around and will be improved functionally with the surgery. I told her "you'll hate it for three weeks and then think it's the best thing you ever had done". Laser tag was fun. I'm a big target and I also got to hang with Tatum. It was her first time and we had fun... fun while we got slaughtered. I hobbled around and my foot was sore afterwards, but Bandit and Firefox did our best. (Our Laser tag names). Hopefully photo bucket is done downloading and I can get that slideshow on here....

My main regret from everyone's visit here was not getting to say goodbye to some of the visitors. Sorry Laura- we'll catch up on facebook I guess....
