Movin In

Pops moved in to the assisted living last night. We got him officially set up by 9 PM. We had to go to Wal Mart and get a longer cable cord... you absolutely cannot "officially" move in without a boob tube. KA was great and was there from about 6 to 8:45 helping move stuff from drawers and getting things organized. My buddy Chuck and I moved the TV and entertainment center from storage and got it all hooked up. Also, thanks to my buddy Brandon who was on call and ready if I had to go up to my house and get my truck. It was easier to use Chuck's truck since I was already in town.

He slept over there last night and did OK. There will be glitches with the transition, that is definite, and it will be hard for both of them. We'll get it all worked out and the nice thing is they are literally 20 yards from each other if both in bed and also they both can move enough to see each other. Today Lone Star spent hours at the old pad- even took a nap there. But we now have it set up so the help is available at night. I actually think it will be harder on EE at this point because she is the one losing socialization- even if the socialization snores and needs help to go to the bathroom 5 times a night. Reminds me of "tried and true". The joke with the 2 old people where the old guy says "tried and true" to which she responds "i'm tired of you too!!!"

Went over with the kids and did a half lymphedema and half rhetrograde massage to Pops feet tonight. Zane and Noah helped with a noise and socialization in the Cottage with Grandma and did the usual: fill the bird feeder, move this, etc.. Tatum and I worked on Pops feet. I massaged and Tatum and Pops watched cartoons. Sweet.

We are so sorry. This must be so hard on them as well as your family. We both admire and care for both of your parents. And we will continue to keep them in our prayers.
