Little Kid

Pops has now been "moved over" for a few days now. I call this blog Little Kid because he still spends more time at the old place, the Cottage. This is fine except for he is like a little kid and says stuff like "can I take a nap in your bed?" Just like a little one always trying to gravy their way into your bed. I do think it is good for him to get over to the Cottage but he needs to take advantage of the main service involved with being at the assisted living. Use the call button. Use the nursing aides. He has been having accidents during the day and even more at night because he tries to get up on his own. The whole purpose in having them pay more for the other room is for safety and ease with tasks. I am going to have a talk with him today and emphasize this. A persuasive scolding or something like that.

We have had good response to the Celebration of Life Party. Family on both sides are coming and also some old friends. Lee and Eric and family are coming from Massachucets and my Aunt Maxine and all three of her kids, my cousins, are coming as well. They were saying it might be the last time to see all of their cousins at the same time. It got me thinking: the last time I was together with all four of my siblings at the same time was 1988. That's pretty lame, but we have never been a get together family. I have vowed to do it different with my kids and that also was one of the things that I wish we did more of growing up and into adulthood. Oh well.
