I know my last blog was rather gloom and doom in terms of how Lone Star was doing. His PSA is still up and rising- which we have deemed as a group,(him included and as main decision maker) that it is not such a bad thing. Pops went to his latest infusion at DR Te's and that is where he found out about the rising PSA. While there, the PA told him "there is no reason why you at this stage should be in pain." She increased his pain patch and he has had pretty goood days since. He feels really good on day one of the pain patch. They change it every 3 days. He is still on a load of pain meds-- but he has felt functional the last few days. That is what makes life worth living. I am going to put pictures on later today once KA gets home and I can find the camera.
Pops and EE went to a Halloween party at the main assisted living building at Beehive on Friday night. It was nice to see them there even though he was done 45 minutes in and went back to the Cottage. That is actually when we got there- but he and EE enjoyed it. We showed off Tatum who was dressed as a cowgirl with chaps, hat and all. The boys didn't dress up and were not into Halloween. They are 9 and 12 and thinking it is a little lame.
Took parents to Chuck a Rama on Friday for lunch. I had things fall through and offered it to them. You would of thought I asked them to go heaven with me and I was God. They loved it and had not been there in at least a month. They were so appreciative and it emphasized to me how I need to go the extra mile to accomodate their needs in these times of Pops decline. I talked with Pops and told him he needed to have a genuine Bucket List (we watched the movie together) so that we could give him quality at these times. He said how he loved lunch at Chuck A Rama. That's easy- we can do that. We are thinking another Zion trip as talked about earlier when Lee and Dianne were here. We can do that. Anything else we are up for. Any suggestions let us know.
Lone Star and EE came to Noahs 4th grade football game on Saturday. KA deserves major kudos for going by their house, getting them to the game, and getting them home. It makes the game hard on her because she has to help them with mobility but when I asked her about it she said "it was fine when you saw how much they enjoyed it- especially my Dad." Folks in the stands kept looking and asking if they could help but all in all in went well. See Football results below.

Hurricane 7th Grade:
Won their game 24-6. Took it to Pine View who last time they beat 31-0. It was good to see them win another game. They were so close in many games and the winning mentality goes a long way in close games. Zane was a beast and played pretty well. Their center left the game with a compound fracture of his right index finger so Zane played some center as well as guard. He is OK except for shotgun snaps. Granted, he has never done or practiced them all year. He is an awesome kid. Hes 5'6" and 122 pounds at the age of 12 with a size 12 shoe. He takes after his Dad.
Ending Record: 2-6.
Hurricane 4th Grade:
We beat Cedar City 41-14 on a game that we could of held them scoreless and scored more points. We came out flat and were only up 14-0 at halftime. I laid into the kids a little bit and they were on fire in the second half. I think they are tinking playoffs since we have already clinched the #1 seed. My point is that anyone can win a game at this level if they come out hard- but we can't be beat in our league if we block, tackle, and execute. Noah was awesome today. He had 2 carries for 48 yards. One for a 40 yard touchdown on a counter play. He also had a 22 yard reception for a touchdown. Also scored an extra point for a score. Funny thing is I told him before the game : 20 bucks for a pic, 20 for a TD, 5 for an extra point and 1 dollar for solo tackles. Dads point after the game. No solo tackles.......come on boy... Was a great game for the little guy. He made 45 dollars, and earned a few fist bumps... Matt
