Since starting this blog there have been other visitors and moments that have happened that are not documented. I have not been here to make documentation. The funny thing is: I hate taking pictures or typing- so me doing a blog is a stretch. You can ask Pops, lately I have have had the camera around more and it irritates him at times. My bro, Mark, was here with his wife, Sylvia, and their grandson Henry, for a few days and it was not documented because I was gone for the week. So no public pics and personal accolades for them for their visit- but they were an asset and helped my parents none the less. My parents did say that Henry was one of the sweetest and most affectionate children they had been around and had a great sense of loving. He would come up to them at every meeting and greet them with hugs and hello's as though he had known them for years. I emphasized that to my own kids on not taking Mom and Pops for granted. At times they seem numb to the short term aspect of Pops predicament. I wish Mark and Sylvia well in the long term with all their endeavors- and with Sylvia's fight with colon cancer herself. Lots of love.
Prior to starting this blog my brother Todd went and stayed with my parents in Independence, MO. The signifigance with this was that Pops and "T" had not been on the same wavelength in quite awhile. Also, this was a time of great need for my parnets because they were struggling to live alone. It was right before they came out here. This is another expression of love between a father and a son that went past animosity and reached a grounded level of concern- that communication was established after a time of animosity. The words expressed here cannot do justice to the reconnection of genetics that were meant to be. I hope it continues because there are not many certainties in life- but one of those ought to be family...
