SocksTillIDie

I just got back from Vegas this morning. Went down as a family to get the boys on a red eye to meet GrandPa Bill in Panama Beach, FLA for a fishing trip. News of note since last post: Pops has acquired his last batch of socks in this lifetime at his report. KA went to WalMart and bought 4 pair of large diabetic socks in colors of white and brown. He has been wearing a black pair that I got him because they are the only socks that fit over his lymphatic bandages and help keep them from unwrapping. Needless to say, he has been looking quite European with his black socks to his knees and his brown sandals. In terms of the new socks he told KA: "4 pairs of socks? That's more socks than i'll ever need before I die." Some things stay the same. A positive word for it is frugal. They were rather pricy at 2 pairs fo &7.50.
Parents came in today and he did the pool. He did not feel well and did not look well. I told him I was going to bring in my camera for some updated photos and he agreed. Wrapped his legs and stretched his IT band and hamstrings. Then I put on his Euro look with the black socks and brown sandals. He did have a black shirt on today. Also, he looked tight today in the pool. His bathing suit doesn't fit him because of what he calls his "bloated body" so I gave him my new suit that I bought a while back. We'll get a pic of that later. Off to KFC for some chicken and than home for salad for the parents.

I guess it is time that someone comment on these blogs so it doesn't look like Matt is doing all the work.
My name is Cathy and I work with Matt at Coral Desert. I first met John and Eileen last year when they first found out about John's condition. When they moved KerryAnn's father's motorhome to St.George I was able to help John and Eileen out somewhat and get to know them a little, but then they moved back to Missouri. I was so pleased when they came back and moved only a block from my house.
I know how hard it is to let someone who is not a member of the family come into your home and help, but I am glad that John and Eileen allow me to help them when Matt and KerryAnn aren't able to. I enjoy the time I get to spend with them. The other night I went over there to drop off some stuff and was there for over an hour watching "Little House on the Prairie" and talking to them about my family and my childhood. John and Eileen are so easy to talk to.
I have to say that I think this blog page is pretty neat. Although I see John and Eileen often and know what is going on, it is nice to read about others experiences with them.
